Charlotte Bruckner (he/they) is a costume designer and artist currently living on the unceded territory of the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band. He is committed to prioritizing collaboration, actor comfort, and aesthetic innovation in his costume work. Artistically, Charlotte is interested in pushing the boundaries of transgression and desire, with a current focus on body horror and trans identity.
He has a BA in Theater Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Theater Arts with a concentration in Design. They are a member of Shakesqueer at Subrosa, an theater collective dedicated to bringing accessible, enjoyable renditions of Shakespeare to the Santa Cruz queer community.
Charlotte's short fiction and poetry is published in various magazines including Broken Antler Magazine, The New Absurdist, Redivider,and elsewhere. He enjoys writing about cowards, queers, and losers. Formerly an Editor-in-Chief at Chinquapin Literary Magazine, they adore the process of compiling and editing art.
